ROBERTSON LOOKING FOR USAC MIDWEST FOCUS PAVEMENT LEAD THIS WEEKEND

INDIANAPOLIS -- James Robertson has spent the last year and a half trying to figure out how to get a point lead from two-time Ford Focus champion Tate Martz.

With a little luck, he might do it this weekend.

Robertson is second to Martz in the USAC Midwest Ford Focus Pavement Midget Car Series point standings, and will try to knock Martz from his pedestal with two races this weekend.

The first of those comes Friday at Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio, a make-up date due to rain last month. The series heads north Sunday to Galesburg Speedway in Michigan, the first time the series has competed at the track.

Robertson has been in a seesaw battle with Martz in several Focus championships this season. He leads Martz by 17 in Indiana Ford Focus competition, while Martz is 57 points ahead of Robertson in Midwest Pavement action.
