Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway will host a special 50th Anniversary Celebration Wednesday night, honoring Bob & Joyce Newton and Hoosier Racing Tires for a half-century of motorsports involvement.

In addition to the USAC "Wednesday Night Thunder" presented by the Richard Petty Driving Experience Regional, Kenyon and Ford Focus Midget racing, Tony Stewart is scheduled to appear to help honor the Newtons.

The USAC Kenyon Midget Series is also slated to compete Saturday as part of Grundy County Speedway's USAC racing program in Morris, Ill.

Alex Pruett and Travis Young are separated by just a single point in the Regional Midgets after finishing second and seventh respectively last Wednesday at New Castle, Ind. Pruett led the first 22 laps of the 30-lap Mount Lawn Speedway feature before Parish took over in his Robertson Drywall/Executive Homes Beast/Pink Chevy and led the final eight. James Robertson was third, followed by Brent Beauchamp and Alison Macleod.

Chett Gehrke of Broken Arrow, Okla. holds a 15-point lead over Parish in the Indiana Ford Focus standings after winning Wednesday's 30-lapper at Mount Lawn. Gehrke led wire-to-wire in his Indy Performance Composites/Scooter Ellis Rentals Beast to beat Tyler Irwin, Eric Fehrman, Parish and MacLeod.

Kyle Hamilton, with finishes of third and seventh in races last week, continues to lead the Kenyon Midget Series points. Dakoda Armstrong of New Castle won Wednesday's 30-lapper in his hometown, leading the last 14 laps in his Bungee North America/Anderson Yamaha to beat Ryan Miller, Hamilton, Blake Fitzpatrick and Caleb Armstrong. Cale Conley and Fitzpatrick led before Armstrong took over.

Fitzpatrick, of West Terre Haute, Ind., led all 30 laps to win Friday's Kenyon Midget race at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway. Trailing his Fitzpatrick Funeral Home/Forsythe Racing Yamaha were Tyler Cottongim, Conley, Drew Charlson and Miller.
