"WEDNESDAY THUNDER" AT NEW CASTLE, KENYONS AT ANDERSON FRIDAY; MOUNT LAWN FEATURES TO ROBERTSON, COTTONGIM & BEAUCHAMP

USAC's "Wednesday Night Thunder" presented by the Richard Petty Driving Experience at New Castle, Ind. features the Regional, Kenyon and Indiana Ford Focus Midgets in 30-lap features. The USAC Kenyon Midgets also compete Friday at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway.

Travis Young leads the Regional Midget points, 13 ahead of Alex Pruett. Young was 12th and Pruett third last Wednesday at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway. Brent Beauchamp of Fairland, Ind. led all 30 laps at Plymouth in his Simpson/Concrete Connection Beast/Esslinger Ford to beat James Robertson, Pruett, Zach Schiff and Ricky Ehrgott.

Robby Parish finished fifth last Wednesday at Plymouth but continues to lead the Indiana Ford Focus points by three over Chett Gehrke. James Robertson of Indianapolis, Ind. led all 30 laps in his Gregg Steele Racing/Lucas Oil Beast to win at Plymouth over Jordan Pennington, who kept the pressure on until the checkered flag. Andy Nock, Eric Fehrman and Parish rounded out the "top-five."

Kyle Hamilton still paces the Kenyon Midget points, 76 ahed of Blake Fitzpatrick after Wednesday's Plymouth USAC tripleheader. Tyler Cottongim of Avon, Ind. led all 30 laps at Plymouth in his Celebrations/Walker's Auto Body Yamaha to beat Caleb Armstrong, Ryan Miller, Hamilton and Drew Charlson.
