RIETHMEYER LEADS CAROLINA/VIRGINIA FOCUS CONTINGENT AFTER KENLY WIN

INDIANAPOLIS -- After a dominating victory in his first ever feature drive in a Ford Focus Midget, Bradley Riethmeyer leads the USAC Carolina/Virginia Ford Focus Midget Car Series contingent to the second round of the season Saturday at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

The winner of the All-American Driver Challenge, Riethmeyer led all 35 laps of Saturday's season opener at Southern National Speedway in Kenly, N.C. -- driving the No. 11 Calico Coatings/All-American Driver Challenge Beast -- and is the point leader going into this weekend's race, the first of four races at the 4/10-mile track.

Trailing Riethmeyer were fast qualifier and defending series champion Chase Scott, Ryan Smith, Terry Hall and Nick Wean.

Riethmeyer has already proven tough at Hickory despite having not competed in a feature at the track. In testing, he turned laps nearly two tenths faster than the track record for a Focus Midget.
