WISE, CARVER AND HAGAR HOPE TO FIND THE MAGIC IN THE MILE AT THE TED HORN 100 SUNDAY

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Josh Wise, Derek Hagar and Justin Carver are looking for a strong finish for the Carl Edwards/ RE Technologies Racing team at the Ted Horn 100 Sunday in DuQuoin, Illinois. Josh Wise finished 5th at Springfield, the team's third top five finish in the last three races.

"We have had a couple of good weekends and are making our climb back up in the points," smiled Wise. "I really feel like we should have a good weekend at DuQuoin."

Josh Wise is now 5th in USAC K & N Silver Crown driver's points race. The No. 199 Curb Records/ Roush Yates Ford/ Red Line Oil sponsored Carl Edwards/ Curb-Agajanian/ R.E. Racing entry he drives is 5th in the USAC K & N Silver Crown Series Owners points while the No. 6 Conrad Sand and Gravel/ DynoTech sponsored Klatt/ RE Technologies entry driven by Derek Hagar is 2nd in owner's points. Hagar took it easy at Springfield (finishing 9th) but is planning a more aggressive approach for DuQuoin.

"This weekend we are going to be on top of the game and start racing at the drop of the green flag," said Derek Hagar. "DuQuoin is different than Springfield but I like our chances for a good finish this weekend. Chris (Santucci) has given us a good car. DynoTech built us a great motor. When we were at Springfield we had a strong car, I just tried to save the tires to long. I know we had a fast car. I just need to come off the green flag a little bit harder."

Justin Carver is planning on leaning on his teammates and his crew for advice as he makes his second start in the series.

"I was able to work with Derek on what to expect at DuQuoin," said the driver of the No. 991 Memphis Fence sponsored Carl Edwards/ RE Technologies Racing/ DynoTech/ Red Line Oil entry. "My first race was a good experience. I hope to build off of our run at Springfield this weekend."

LONG HAUL CARVER

Justin Carver will be racking up the mileage this weekend traveling from Ringgold, Georgia and Lavonia, Georgia to DuQuoin, Illinois. Carver is racing in the USCS Georgia State Sprint Car Championship scheduled for Friday night, September 4 at Boyd's Speedway and Saturday night, September 5 at Lavonia Speedway. Justin Carver is currently 2nd in the Parts Plus USCS Outlaw Thunder National Points Standings.

HOME COOKING

The Magic Mile at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds is 272 miles from the Carl Edwards/ RE Technologies Racing shop in Memphis, Tennessee, making it the closest track that the team will race on all season. The close proximity allows fans and family of the team and their two Memphis based drivers, Derek Hagar and Justin Carver to attend the race.

"I have a lot of family and friends that are planning on coming up on Sunday to watch us race," said Hagar. "Last year we had a lot of people up and had a cookout with a lot of family members and fans from Riverside International Speedway. Hopefully we can put on a good show for them."
