Hoosiers Shane Hollingsworth of Indianapolis and John Wolfe of Winchester will square off for the 2001 USAC Dirt-Track Regional Midget Car Championship Saturday night at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track in a full night of racing at the storied 1/2-mile dirt oval.

Hollingsworth leads Wolfe by only three points with 66 available at Terre Haute. Matt Sandy of Lafayette, Ind. also harbors slim but mathematical thoughts of the title, trailing Hollingsworth by 58 points.

A 25-lap feature caps the Midget portion of the program, which also includes the Stoops Freightliner Sprint Cars in a pair of 30-lap contests. The Sprint cars open the night with the "Jan Opperman Classic" and close it with the "Fall Harvest Classic."

Hollingsworth has two victories and a second in five series starts this season. Wolfe, although still seeking his first victory, has "top-10" finishes in each of his five starts.

Practice is scheduled at 5 pm and the first race gets the green flag at 6:15. <pre> USAC DIRT-TRACK REGIONAL MIDGET CAR SERIES STANDINGS
