DAVID CARDEY RETURNS TO HOME TRACK FOR JACK KINDOLL CLASSIC!

(SEPTEMBER 17, 2009, RIVERSIDE, CA) USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series point leader David Cardey returns to his home track when the popular series comes back to Perris Auto Speedway for the 13th Annual Jack Kindoll Classic this Saturday, September 19th.

As has been the case for most of the summer, the 33-year from Riverside, California will be the point leader when Eddie Ramirez begins Saturday's festivities with the first green flag of the night. Two weeks ago when the series ventured to Northern California for the Louie Vermeil Classic, Cardey had a 22-point lead in the championship standings. Things have tightened up a bit and he carries a 16-point advantage heading into the Kindoll Classic.

Cardey's 2009 Vermeil Classic results were much better than 2008. On night number one, he was 8th fast qualifier in his ITI Performance Motorsports 5-bar Viper. He placed second in his heat and was fifth in the 30-lap main. On the second night he timed in second quick, notched a second place finish in his heat and ended up 10th in the feature.

As stated, Cardey's lead in the standings is a narrow 16 points over the second place driver. If that is not close enough, the third place driver is 18 points behind and the driver in fourth is only 40 off the top spot.

Saturday's race will feature several cash incentives to the regular purse. While you are reading this, Cardey is sharpening his spurs in hopes of grabbing some of the extra money. Saturday's main event winner will pocket an extra $1,100.00 and the second place finisher will earn an extra $500.00. In addition there will be one extra race on Saturday. A 3-lap, $750.00 trophy dash for the nights for four fast qualifiers. The winner of the three lapper will earn $300.00.

For the second race in a row, Cardey is welcoming a new sponsor to the team. Franklin Rear Ends has come on board for the chase to the championship. They join ITI Performance Motorsports, Empire Plumbing, DWT Wheels, Circle Track Racing, Defender Products, Racer's Pub, Powell Pipe & Supply, Hoosier Tires, K&N Filters, 5-Star Gas & Gear and Scott Daloisio Sports. To add your company to the sponsor list of David Cardey Racing's winning team, please use the contact information at the start or end of this release.

After this weekend's Jack Kindoll Classic, Cardey and his red #38 Sprint Car will return to Perris Auto Speedway on October 10th for a race during the Southern California Fair.
