The USAC National Midget Car Series now gears up for the May 26 "Vogler Classic" at the Blossom Chevrolet Indianapolis Speedrome, following Josh Wise's victory in Saturday night's 30-lap race at Beaver Dam, Wis. The Speedrome feature will be a 100-lapper.

Wise, of Riverside, Calif., led the final 22 laps at Beaver Dam's Raceway @ Powercom Park in his Tony Stewart Racing Mopar/Vital Express Beast/Mopar. He passed Craig Carey on lap nine and held on to beat Jay Drake, Cole Carter, Carey and Davey Ray.

Drake's finish boosted him into the series point lead going into the May 26 "Vogler Classic."

Saturday's Midget events produced a near-record 10 flips but there were no serious driver injuries.

Wise's victory left him 15 points behind Drake in the new series standings, while defending series champion Bobby East, who was 13th at Beaver Dam, ranks third.
