Dave Harrison of Fremont, Ohio and Bobby Rose of Howey in the Hills, Fla. bumped their way into the field for Saturday night's 53rd Pay Less/Delco Remy "Little 500" USAC Sprint Car race during final qualifying at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway Friday. Shane Miller of Lutz, Fla. also bumped his way back into the field after being bumped by another car.

Harrison posted the fastest time of nine completed qualifying attempts Friday and will start 16th in the field of 33 on the 1/4-mile paved oval. The 500-lap race starts at 8 pm Saturday night.

Stan Butler of Tampa, Fla., who has completed more race laps than any other driver in "Little 500" history, was unable to make this year's starting field, although he did complete a four-lap qualifying run Friday.

Former race winners in this year's field of 33 include front row starters Jeff Bloom (1972-77-91), Eric Gordon (1993-98) and Dave Steele (1996), plus Chet Fillip (1999) and Jim Childers (1992-94-2000).
