Memphis, TN – May 6, 2004 – Eleven drivers are competing for a $50,000 bonus this weekend at Big M Motorfest presented by Brim’s Snack Foods at Memphis Motorsports Park.
In order to claim the prize, they will have to beat the some of the best sprint car drivers in the world Friday night during the 410 Wingless Challenge. If they can win Friday night, they will have to defeat the best drivers that USAC has to offer Saturday afternoon at the Memphis USAC 100 Silver CrownTM race.
The group of drivers competing for the $50,000 reads like a whose who in open wheel racing. Dave Darland, Jay Drake, Jerrod Hull, Tracy Hines, Tony Eliott, Levi Jones, Boston Reid, Dave Steele, Shane Stewart, Sammy Swindell and Bryan Tyler are all vying for the prize.
The Big M Motorfest features the 410 Wingless Challenge, the stars of the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series vs the stars of the O’Reilly Sprint Bandit Series, Friday night May 7th. The Southern Rides Magazine AutoFest, featuring the finest cars, trucks and motorcycles in the Mid-South, swings into high gear Saturday morning May 8th. The event climaxes Saturday afternoon as the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series takes to the track. Tickets booths open to the public at 5pm Friday night.
