Revolution Motorsports - Thank You!
Stu Hayner finishes sixth in season finale.
Alton, Va. October 27, 2002 Capping off a brilliant season with a brand new race team, Stu Hayner and the Revolution Motorsports team took the #02 Trenton Forging Corvette to a sixth place finish in today's VIR SpeedFest Presented by the Justin Bell GT Motorsports Experience. This was the final race of the season for the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup.
Hayner's finish left him just four points short of fourth place Johnny Miller [#64] in the driver's Championship point standings.
Teammate and team owner, Don Sak, drove his #10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette to an 11th place finish.
Don Sak commented following the season ending race; "This was a terrific year for us. I don't think we ever thought we would be standing with so many accomplishments after only 10 months in existence as a team. We have had so much fun," Sak continued. "It's really been something special."
"I intend to get around to thanking everyone involved personally, but I don't think I can ever thank them enough. I can't believe how fortunate we are to have such a dedicated group--. It's just great. You can bet," Sak added, "we'll be getting our heads together with the good people at Trenton Forging and we'll find a way to keep this going. As much work as this is and as tired as we all are, we can't wait until next year!"
