Max Lagod Qualifies 3rd and Finishes a Strong 6th at Road America

[IMAGE]Gilberts, Illinois -- Veteran Trans-Am driver Max Lagod served notice to his fellow competitors this past weekend by qualifying his #83 EZeCom.com eCommerce Software / Hypermax Corvette to a career-best 3rd, which put Max on the inside of the second row to start the race. "We did some testing here earlier this month, so I was confident that we would be very fast," said Lagod. "We also welcomed a new sponsor on board this weekend, so I was I was delighted to put the EZeCom.com eCommerce Software car at the front to start the race."

"Road America is my hometown track, so I have been around this place a few times. We always expect to have a good finish here," said Lagod. During the final practice session the team made a minor adjustment to the third-link, but the car didn't respond as well as expected. "We were simply just too tight right from the start of the race," explained Lagod. "I had to drive the car too hard to keep up with the leaders, and by the end of the race, we had no grip in our tires left." Nonetheless, Lagod managed to fight off a hard-charging pack to earn his 6th place finish.

"We are happy to announce that the #83 EZeCom.com / Hypermax Corvette will be competing in Montreal this weekend where we expect another strong performance," said an enthusiastic Lagod. The green flag for the Molson Indy Montreal Grand Prix will drop on Saturday August 27th. The Road America Grand Prix will be televised (tape-delay) on SPEED Channel on Sunday August 28th at 2:00 pm Central.
