RACE NOTES: I haven't seen the race yet but here's what I know (or think I know). You can see that the qualifying positions are somewhat jumbled). I heard on Raceday that rain had a big effect on qualifying. I assume by the Qual order and the fact that the groupings usually send the slower cars off first, that the later group(s) had rain or more rain than did the first group. Sorry bill Saunders fans, yes I like him too, but he isn't likely to out run Fellows, Kendall or Schroeder on equal footing.

Robert Rizzo didn't run beacuse they couldn't repair his car in time. It would appear that Rob is OK after his post checkered flag trip into the concrete barried at Detroit. They plan to make the next event at Elkhart Lake.

That's all I know, except that Ron Fellows was clearly the fastest car in the field. This race won't be telecast until next weekend. I have the TV schedules for the race and will post later.
