LOPESPORT RACING HEADS TO MOSPORT CARRIES MOMENTUM IN QUEST FOR THE TOP STEP

Miami, Florida(May 19, 2010)- RJ Lopez will take his number six Lopesport Racing/ Disco 106 /Goodyear Tires /ECR Engines C6 Corvette to Mosport International Raceway outside of Toronto for this weekend's round two of the SCCA Trans-Am Series championship as part of the Victoria Day Speedfest. Lopez currently occupies the second spot in the championship standings following his best finish to date of second place at New Jersey. This weekend's race will mark Lopez's first trip North of the border to the historic Mosport facility.

"I am really looking forward to competing at Mosport," said Lopez. "It's a track I've always really wanted to drive. It's just one of the big boy tracks that separate the drivers from the others."

Lopez has intentions of taking a step up into the center spot of the podium. Coming off a second place finish at New Jersey, the team is prepared for the challenges that are Mosport. "Obviously we have high expectations for this race after coming off a 2nd place finish in the season opener. We also think this track might even better suit the car and my driving style," commented Lopez.

Not only is RJ Lopez ready, the team and car are in tune as well. Following a handling issue in the closing laps at NJ, the team resolved the gremlins in the days leading up to Mosport. "Mark Meissen has gone through the car and fixed the sway bar problem we had at NJ. Although Scott McLearen will not be with us for this race, Ken Kelly who was with us the previous two seasons will rejoin us for Mosport as well as Mariano Guzman," Lopez stated.

Lopesport Racing will introduce a new sponsor as part of this weekend's racing. Disco 106, the number one radio station of the Dominican Republic, has joined the team and will occupy the hood space of the red and silver C6 Corvette. Said Lopez of Disco 106 and their support of the team, "I guess now will be the disco car! Should I trade in my driver's suit for a leisure suit?"
