GRAF NETS FASTEST TIME DURING FINAL TRANS-AM PRACTICE AT MONTREAL
MONTREAL, Quebec (Aug. 27, 2005) -- Klaus Graf turned in the fastest time of the weekend during the final 15-minute practice session Saturday morning for this afternoon's Trans-Am race, part of the Molson Indy Montreal. Graf, No. 7 Jaguar R Performance XKR, was the first to break the 1:40 barrier, lapping the 2.709-mile permanent circuit in one minute, 39.654 seconds (97.863 miles per hour).
Paul Gentilozzi (No. 1 Jaguar R Performance XKR) was second fastest, ahead of Randy Ruhlman (No. 49 Preformed Line Products Canada Chevrolet Corvette). Tomy Drissi (No. 5 Transporter 2 -- The Movie Jaguar XKR) and Joey Scarallo (No. 06 Cytomax/Toyo Tires Chevrolet Corvette) rounded out the top five.
