On his first practice session on the new Miami track... "The session started out well and we were steadily gaining, running as high as third. Then I got wide and tagged the tire wall. Since the tires spilled out onto the track, it brought out the black flag which brought me a five minute penalty. That'll make you more careful and puts sense into your mind which you should have had there anyway.

"The remaining part of the session, I spent focusing on a couple of key corners. They can be very deceiving, but there are two places where it's worth a full second if you get it right.

"We'll be better this afternoon. The other guys had the full session and took full advantage of it. We need to play catch-up."
