May 7th, 2000 - Marybeth leaves Vancouver tomorrow for Mosport Raceway where she she will be spending three days at the track in preparation for her upcoming Trans-Am race May 21st. From there, she goes to Maryland for a final seat fitting in the #07 Pratt & Miller Camaro before heading back up to Mosport with the Glacier Bear Racing team for the May 18th practice day and the team's Trans-Am debut race on the 21st. The race will be televised live on Speedvision at 2pm EST.

Initially, Sebring was slated for the debut but the deal on the car fell through at the last minute, leaving the team without a car. That also meant that Charlotte was out and further delays in acquiring the new engine and lack of time to test resulted in missing Long Beach. However at this stage, the team has now completed a weekend of testing at the April 18th SCCA National Event at Summit Point Raceway in West Viriginia where Marybeth quickly adapted to the 650 horsepower Camaro, qualifying 4th for Sunday's GT1 race and posting the 2nd fastest lap time of the race before a spin and a mechanical pit stop took her out of contention for the lead. "I was greatly surprised at the potential my driver showed us in her ability to handle the car at the track," stated Glacier Bear Racing Team Owner Jerry Moskel. "I'm confident we'll be able to put on a good show at our first Trans-Am race at Mosport."
