SECOND IN POINTS, RJ LOPEZ GOES TO LIME ROCK PARK IN QUEST OF VICTORY

Miami, Florida(July 1, 2010)- With four consecutive top three finishes under his belt, RJ Lopez travels to Lime Rock Park this weekend for round number five of the 2010 SCCA Pro Trans-Am series championship. Lopez, behind the wheel of the number 6 Lopesport Racing/Disco 106/Goodyear/ECR Engines Chevrolet Corvette still seeks that elusive first career win in Trans-Am. Coming off a stellar performance at the previous race at Road America, Lopez sits second in points behind Tony Ave. Lopez hopes to not only move up a step on the podium but up in the standings as well.

Said Lopez, "We are very excited for this weekend's race in Lime Rock, it being one of the classic road racing tracks of the U.S. I look forward to our race. I feel we might be at a bit of a disadvantage to some of the guys because of the lack of track time. However, we are pretty good at getting up to speed right away so I'm not too worried."

Following the last race, held at Road America, the Lopesport team lead by Mark Meissen, prepared the car for the change in race tracks. "As usual we tore the car apart after Elkhart, changed a few things here and there and got it ready for Lime Rock. I have to commend the team, thus far, reliability has been consistent each and every race. These are the types of things that allow us to focus on racing and earning points towards that big trophy at season's end."

Realizing the torrid pace typically set by the race front runners, Lopez and crew have determined that the Goodyear tires are strong throughout the duration and intend to up their strategy for the race. "Looking at the tires after the last race we figure we can push the car a little harder in the earlier stages of the race, so that is what I intend to do. All in all we are planning to run up front and try and grab our first win," commented Lopez.

As the 2010 season approaches the half way mark, Lopez is enjoying his time spent racing and having success. "I have to say, running hard each and every weekend with guys like Ave and Driss and the rest of the field really makes me appreciate what it takes to be competitive in this series," said Lopez. "These other guys show up every race prepared to win and take it all. To have the success we have shown for such a little team, I am certainly proud of the team and our efforts."
