On his race today... "I had such a fast car today, but I got held up by several slower cars fairly early on in the race. I was racing Randy Ruhlman and passing for position when he spun. I certainly didn't mean for it to happen the way it happened. I was so much faster, went in, and then next thing I knew, he spun.

"Later on in the race, I kissed the wall twice, but on the third contact, it was substantial enough that we had to pit to change the right rear tire. One of those encounters came after the restart. I messed up on the restart and if I hadn't tagged the wall, I would have hit Bob Ruman.

"We were running eighth before I had to pit, and I thought it would end our chance for a top-ten finish. But we were able to gather it up and bring it home in 10th place."
