Dominant Bolisetti wins Vento cup race one

Sailesh Bolisetti took a lights-to-flag victory at the final round of Volkswagen Vento Cup, beating championship contenders Anindith Reddy and Karminder Singh in the first race.

Having taken pole position by a meagre 0.050 seconds, Bolisetti marched ahead of the pack, winning the race by nearly seven seconds.

Bolisetti also clocked the fastest lap of the race clocking 2m27.423s, the only driver to dip into the 2m27's.

With the 27-year-old a class apart from the rest, Reddy and Singh were left to squabble for second position, with the former emerging ahead to extend his championship lead.

Guest driver Advait Deodhar, finished an impressive fourth, just outside the podium positions keeping Ishaan Dodhiwala at bay.

his chances of winning the title look bleak as he finished a disappointing fifth, ahead of another guest racer Dhruv Behl.

Raghav Sharma and Prabhanjan Paruchuri were classified seventh and eighth while Volkswagen Polo Cup Chinese racers Zhang Quan Shang and Yang Shuo rounded-off the top 10.

The sister duo of Neha Dabas and Ria Dabas finished 17th and 19th respectively.

The winner of the inaugural Vento Cup season will be announced on Sunday after the completion of the remaining two races.
