Michael looking forward to penultimate round in Mine this weekend.
Michael and regular co-driver Satoshi Motoyama are looking forward to the penultimate round of the 2002 Japanese GT Championship in Mine this weekend.
The Nismo team completed a shakedown test at TI Circuit earlier this week to simulate the characteristics of Mine, which is a circuit that features several corners that punish the brakes of the GT competitors.
"We had a very good test this week, we are still developing the car even though we only have two races left, just small parts but they seem to be making the car better. Our Championship hopes are finished now, so we are pushing hard to secure a win in the remaining races. Mine is definitely our best hope for this as the circuit suits the Skyline well and we have always been good under brakes which is important there, also we now only have 10Kgs of weight success penalty.
So I am looking forward to this weekend, and as usual will push hard and see what happens." Michael commented Tuesday
