ASA MEMBER TRACK PROGRAM, BILL SAWYER'S VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 22, 2006) -- Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway is the latest short track to be added to the growing list of ASA Member Tracks with the announcement that they have come to an agreement for the 2006 season.

"The ASA Member Track program has really taken off over the past couple of years and I have really seen it expand and just knew that we should become a part of it," said Bill Sawyer, Virginia Motor Speedway owner. "In dealing with Dennis (Huth) over the years I could see that the ASA Member Track program is a great tool and alliance that our industry can use."

Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway heads into it's 37th year of operation and is located conveniently on U.S. Route 17 just 8 miles north of Saluda, VA, just a short driving distance from the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Hampton Roads areas. The Speedway boasts a 1/2-mile dirt surface with 14 degree banking and offers 17 television quality MUSCO light poles, 4 tier outside guardrail and 3-tier inside guardrail retaining structures. The Infield and competitor pit areas are surface treated with a tar and gravel mixture.

VMS is a state of the art facility utilizing the AMB Automated Timing and Scoring System in four of the tracks five divisions and for 2006 has also mandated the use of the Raceceiver System as a safety precaution for all divisions.

The speedway will host five weekly divisions and five special events during the 2006 season. The Victory Lap Late Models are the tracks top division and compete for a $25,000 point fund of which $10,000 goes to the champion. The Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modifieds, Al's Auto Parts Chargers and Dixie Chopper All Americans also compete on a weekly basis. The 2006 special events calendar includes the World of Outlaws late Models on April 8th, the O'Reilly ASCS National Sprint Car Series on May 27th, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on June 24th, AMA Ford Quality Checked Grand National Series motorcycles on July 15th and the MACS Super Late Model Series on August 19th. The WoO Late Model and Lucas Oil Late Model events will be in front of the SPEED Channel cameras.

The 2006 season at Virginia Motor Speedway will run every Saturday night from April 1st through September 23rd with the running of the 37th Annual Fall Classic. The speedway will be closed for the RIR NASCAR weekends. Adult tickets are reasonably priced at $10, and children under six are allowed in for free for weekly events; combined with the action all around this short track makes Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway an excellent place to introduce families to the thrills of motorsports. "Bill and I have known each other for many years. I have always respected and worked very closely with he and his family when they owned and operated Richmond International Raceway, so this is a natural extension of that relationship," said Dennis Huth, president of Racing Speed Associates, which owns and operates the ASA Racing Member Track program. "It is great that we were able to come to an agreement and have Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway on board this season to help lend their support to all the programs that we have in motion."
