MYRTLE BEACH, SC -- The United Speed Alliance Racing Hooters ProCup Series returns to Winchester Speedway for the running of the Naturally Fresh Foods 250 on Saturday, June 7th at 7:00pm. The race will be the fourth time the Series has visited the fast, high-banked track. Last year in the spring race, Brian Ross outlasted a hard-charging Jeff Agnew to win in his home state. Ross, who won five times last year, dominated at the track leading a total of 147 laps during the race. Current USAR Northern Division drivers Forrest Urban, Jr., Glenn Gault followed in third and fourth, respectively, in last year's race.

Ross heads to Winchester Speedway as one of the leading contenders for the #1 seed from the Northern Division for the 2003 Championship Series. While Ross is clearly a favorite at Winchester Speedway, he quickly states anything can happen at the track.

"With the speeds we run at Winchester, you not only have to be fast but also survive the day," said Ross. "The track is hard on equipment and you also have to be ready to miss any action on the track that can end your day early."

Ross is speaking from experience as the veteran driver qualified fifth and was running in the top-10 before he got caught up in an accident on a restart during the Championship Series event at Winchester Speedway last fall. Ross was able to continue but finished a distant 23rd in the final standings.

"We were having a good day and got caught up in a mess that wasn't even our doing," Ross added. "But that is Winchester, you have to be lucky sometimes as well and our luck was bad that day. We had a good car but that stuff happens."

The Naturally Fresh Foods 250 weekend will begin with practice starting at 10:30 am and ending at 12:30 pm. Qualifying for the Advance Auto Parts Pole Award will begin at 4:30 pm and an autograph session slated for 5:45 pm. The Naturally Fresh Foods 250 will begin at 7:00 pm.
