"PRESEASON SPECIAL" KICKS OFF 120 HOURS OF NATIONAL COVERAGE

SPEED Channel to air Hooters Pro Cup "Preseason Special" on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m.

Longs, SC-Three days prior to the official beginning of the 2006 Hooters Pro Cup season, fans across the country can catch a glimpse of what is in store for the upcoming year as well as take a look back at the 2005 season on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m., when SPEED Channel airs the Hooters Pro Cup Series "Preseason Special."

The hour-long show will be hosted by Gene Crane and Scott Sutherland. In addition to the traditional broadcasting team, Shane Huffman, Woody Howard, Andrew Rogers, Ken Butler III and Jody Lavender joined the duo in Atlanta, Ga., to film the special.

The show will feature nine separate segments, focusing on the new tracks, drivers and rules for the upcoming season, along with recapping the banner season of 2005.

"We're looking forward to getting our eighth year of coverage on SPEED Channel underway," said Tony Cox, USAR Series Director. "We had great season in 2005, but we're ready for 2006."

The "Preseason Special" will also feature an in-house interview with Benny Gordon, the 2005 Hooters Pro Cup Champion, from the Predator Performance shop in DuBois, Pa.

Make sure to tune in Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. on SPEED Channel to see the "Preseason Special." In the week following, the Naturally Fresh 250 from USA Int'l Speedway will be broadcast tape-delayed at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and be rebroadcast at 12 p.m. on Friday. All 30 Hooters Pro Cup races will be nationally broadcast multiple times during the 2006 season.
