Sarvis sets his sights on Saturday Night.
Fayetteville, GA (November 25, 2002) - As United Speed Alliance Racing prepares to close out the 2002 Hooters ProCup Series season with the running of the Four Champions Memorial Hooters 300 presented by Jennie-O Turkey Store, one thing is certain - Jason Sarvis will be ready.
Sarvis, who enters the season-ending race this Saturday night with a 48-point lead over Steven Christian in the chase for the $250,000 first- place prize, hopes to take home the lion's share from the $1 million championship points and post-season awards fund.
"Our goal is to win the pole and the race this weekend and then the points," said Sarvis. "But we have to take care of first things first, and that is winning the race, we are not looking at it as points racing. We are going down there to win the race and if we do that, then the points will be there at the end of the night."
Sarvis tested this past weekend at USA Intnernational Speedway and feels confident his Chevrolet can keep up the dominating performance he has shown the Series this season at the
