Danny Jackson Makes USAR Pro Cup Debut

CINCINNATI, Ohio (April 16, 2007) -- Danny Jackson, a resident of Loveland, Ohio, kicked off his rookie USAR Hooters Pro Cup season this past Saturday earning a 17th place qualifying position. After completing 114 laps in his No. 05 Chevy Monte Carlo, he suffered mechanical problems and exited the Farmer's Foods 250 in South Boston, Va., finishing 28th.

The race will broadcast on SPEED Wednesday, April 25 at 4 p.m.

"It was good to start the season qualified in the middle of the pack," said Jackson. "The competition was tough. Forty-three drivers showed up for the thirty-two car race, so just to make the show, and not at the bottom of the pack, was a good feeling and proof that we can be competitive. I left the race disappointed but with a lot of confidence."

Jackson's next event is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, in Shenandoah, Va., at Shenandoah Speedway.
