USAR to move corporate headquarters; move rom Fayetteville to Myrtle Beach effective January 1st.

Myrtle Beach, SC (October 18, 2002)-- United Speed Alliance Racing President Gene Cox announced today that the corporate offices for USAR will move from Fayetteville, Georgia to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on January 1, 2003. The official announcement was made in Myrtle Beach.

"We are very excited to be moving to Myrtle Beach," said USAR President Gene Cox."The Myrtle Beach area is enjoying tremendous growth and we are a young series that has experienced tremendous growth over the past several years and we feel like Myrtle Beach fits well for the Hooters ProCup Series. The relocation of the office will also offer USAR the opportunity to host sponsors and members at one of the most popular destinations along the east coast."

USAR has been located in Fayetteville since the inception of the racing sanctioning body in 1994. The corporate office will be located in the heart of Myrtle Beach on Oak Street.

"We have two races a year at Myrtle Beach Speedway and we have a great relationship with the track," Cox said."One of our deciding factors was our relationship with the owners and management of the speedway. We have a great relationship with the speedway and we will continue to host one regular season and one championship series event each year for the foreseeable future."

USAR and Myrtle Beach Speedway hosts the Mark Brooks Memorial Lucas Oil 250 presented by Bryant Heating and Cooling for race three of the five-race Championship Series to determine the 2002 USAR Hooters ProCup Series National Champion.

"Myrtle Beach is a great destination for our race teams and sponsors," said Cox.

Cox hopes the move will be a win-win for everyone involved when the office officially opens in January.

"Hopefully we will be good for the community and the community will be good for us," added Cox."We will be an active member of the community and we hope to be an attractive business partner along the Grand Strand."
