Cleveland, Ohio - Scott Baker announced on Tuesday night that he would be leaving Bullet Racing and the No. 11 Northern Division car. Scott and the team owner had agreed that sponsor dollars needed to be obtained for the car to run the full 2004 season. When it became apparent that those dollars were not coming in, Scott felt it was time to part ways. This would then allow the team to pursue other drivers who could potentially bring sponsorship dollars to the team.

"This team, the owner, crewmembers and all the friends I have made in the series mean the world to me," Baker stated. "But the team has to have the opportunity to see what they can pursue with a different driver."

"Bullet Racing has top-notch equipment and people, and I wish them all the best as they prepare for the 2004 season," Baker concluded.

Scott Baker will be racing something; somewhere, and the team will applaud him as he continues his racing career.

During the next week or so, the team will be reviewing their options, and planning their direction for the upcoming season. A press release will announce their plans once everything is solidified.
