Sarvis and RBR Team Finish 8th in the Food City 250 at Lonesome Pine Raceway
The RBR Team continued their consistent performance Saturday night with a 8th place finish at the Lonesome Pine Raceway. "After a rough day like today, we are happy to come out of here with a top ten finish", said Sarvis. "We're all worn out and glad to get this race behind us." Only an hour into the 1st practice session, Sarvis hit oil on the track and made contact with the turn 2 wall. The team got the car ready with only 15 minutes left before qualifying and Sarvis, unsure of what how the car was going to be, qualified 12th. "We really needed more practice to fine tune the car but we still have to be happpy with our finish." Sarvis with his 8th place finish won the Miller Lite Rookie of the Race Award and now has four top 10's and two top 5 finishes in only five races with the RBR Team.
"The people at Food City were great to work with this weekend," said Rick Benton. "We really appreciate their help and hopefully we gave them good exposure this weekend. The Rev-It Up Party went well Friday night even though we got a little wet. The people at Food City really know how to market around racing and we are happy to be associated with such a company. We want to thank all the people involved and hopefully we can work together in the future."
This weekend's race will be televised on Speedvision this Thursday night at 9:00pm. The RBR Team will take next weekend off and return to action on July 7th at the Montgomery Motor Speedway. During July, team is schedule to race at Montgomery (AL) on July 7th, Jennerstown (PA) on July 14th, and Radford (VA) on July 21st.
