Abingdon, VA - Roark Motorsports announced today plans for the upcoming 2005 racing season. Freddie Taylor Jr. of Abingdon will pilot a RMS entry in several Hooters Pro Cup races including events at Lonesome Pine Raceway and Motor Mile Speedway.
Abingdon, VA - Roark Motorsports announced today plans for the upcoming 2005 racing season. Freddie Taylor Jr. of Abingdon will pilot a RMS entry in several Hooters Pro Cup races including events at Lonesome Pine Raceway and Motor Mile Speedway. Taylor a former track champion at LPR in Coeburn has honed his skills on the track for the past three years and is ready to try his hand in Hooters Pro Cup competition. Additional races will be announced for Taylor as sponsorship funding is secured.
In addition to Taylor, RMS plans to field a Pro Cup entry at selected events as a driver development program. Drivers and events will be named as plans are finalized closer to the '05 season.
RMS will also begin its full service leasing program for the Pro Cup Series. RMS will have programs available ranging from one race, car rental only to multiple event deals providing complete car, team, and logistical support.
In addition to keeping a watchful eye on the changes in their Pro Cup efforts, 2004 driver Jeff Roark will compete in selected events in the ARCA Remax Series. Current plans include Roark running ARCA races at Nashville Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Lanier National Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Lake Erie Speedway, and Toledo Speedway with the possibility of adding more events. In addition, Roark plans to enter a few NASCAR Busch series events with details to be announced as sponsorship is finalized.
