FAULK TO SPORT NEW COLORS AT PEACH STATE
"Rookie Will Feature New Sponsor Product"
OCALA, FLORIDA (April 14, 2005) -- Michael Faulk strolls into the fourth event of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series (Southern Division) this weekend sporting a new look for his MB3 motorsports team. In conjunction with the launch of a new revolutionary energy product from Herbalife, Faulk and his No. 53 Ford will sport the new colors for the running of the Aaron's 250 at the Peach State Speedway. Keep on the lookout for further information on this new product coming soon.
"It is a privilege to partner with a company such as Herbalife and to help them launch a new product by featuring it on our car is pretty cool," stated Faulk. "We are coming off a solid run at Greenville Pickens last time out and I think we will follow that up with another one this week. We tested on Monday at Peach State and we got the car real good so we have some high expectations for Saturday. The track seems to fit my driving style so I think that we will be in for a fun and hopefully clean race."
The USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series will visit the half-mile high banks of Peach State on Saturday for the first of two visits this season. Faulk is coming off his career best finish of 10th at Greenville Pickens a few weeks ago -- a finish that moved the rookie into the 17th position in the overall point's standings. Faulk and his rookie team look to back up that performance with yet another career best finish on Saturday.
"Just as it always does, testing at Peach State on Monday really helped us," said Mike. "It allowed me to see the track for the first time and get a feel for what it is like. It is a fast and wide track and that should allow for plenty of racing room on Saturday night. Our No. 53 Herbalife Ford was really fast in the test and I hope to be fast this weekend. We have some positive momentum right now and in racing that can really help if you can keep it going -- and I sure hope to do just that."
The running of the Aaron's 250 presented by the Lucas Oil Products will see the green flag drop at 7:00 p.m. EST on Saturday evening. The event will be televised nationally a week later on April 23rd on the SPEED Channel at 10:00 p.m. EST.
