Jay Fogleman Maintains Fourth in Pro Cup Southern Division Points

Jay Fogleman maintains a solid fourth place standing in USAR Hooters Pro Cup Southern Division points.

But the driver of the JFco Motorsports Lucas Oil Products Ford No. 4 was frustrated following the June 26 running of the Groucho Deli 250 presented by Black's Tire Service at Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Speedway.

Rain cancelled practice on Saturday night, so drivers lined up for Sunday's race based on points.

"We were just off," Fogleman said. "We completely missed the setup. The track was as abrasive as ever, but today a good, second grove worked in; usually there's only one good line around this place. I wish we'd gotten a chance to practice, because we're a much better team than we showed here and I think we would have dialed the car in."

The Durham, N.C., racer may not have enjoyed his Myrtle Beach run, but he hasn't lost his enthusiasm for the 2005 season.

"The JFco Motorsports Lucas oil Products Ford No. 4 team is solid," Fogleman said. "We're in a good points position, and we have all the pieces in place. Myrtle Beach was a result of the weather; we're going to win again soon, and probably win often."
