Myrtle Beach, S.C.--Benny Gordon isn't one to mince words, and he drives by the simplest of mottos: Win at all costs.

"I get mad when people say, 'You had a good points night,'" said Gordon, who, ironically, is the Northern Division point leader. "If people actually think that I go out there trying to get points, they're crazy. All I care about is winning the race. That's it."

Gordon will get that chance when the Hooters Pro Cup Series rolls into Mansfield Motorsports Park for the running of the Greased Lightning 250 on Saturday, June 14 at 7 p.m. And if history is any sort of a precursor, the DuBois, Pa., driver should have ample opportunity to enact his credo.

In eighth starts at MMP, Gordon, driver of the No. 66n Samuel Metals Ford, has three wins, five top-five and six-top 10 finishes. Last season, however, Gordon only managed a pair of fifth-place efforts at the half-mile layout, which didn't sit too well with the 3-time Northern Division champion.

"It ticks me off when I don't win," said Gordon, "especially if a Southern Division guy comes up here and beats us."

Last season, Southern Division drivers Mark McFarland and Bobby Gill swept the races at MMP.

McFarland, driver of the No. 81s Sears Auto Center Chevrolet took the lead from Mike Garvey on Lap 147 of the Greased Lightning 250 and led to the finish in the June event. McFarland is scheduled to compete in this year's Greased Lightning 250 and coming off a win at The Milwaukee Mile.

"Our team is really starting to come together," said McFarland, who has jumped from 21st to third in Southern Division points in the last two races. "We had some bad breaks at the beginning of the season, but we're getting the finishes we deserve now. Hopefully, we can keep that up at Mansfield."

Gill, who is not pre-entered, won the September race at MMP last season. After starting 29th in the 36-car field, Gill knifed his way to the top five just after the halfway mark, slid around Gary St. Amant for the lead on Lap 171 and led to the finish of the Charlie Campbell Memorial Sears Auto Center 250.

St. Amant, driver of the No. 7n Jegs.com/Speedco Chevrolet, should also factor into the outcome of the Greased Lightning 250. The reigning Northern Division champion has seven top-10 finishes in eight starts at MMP. St. Amant and Gordon both competed in the Craftsman Truck Series event at MMP this season. Gordon was running in the top 10 before running out of fuel, while St. Amant came home 28th. Those results should be a little better this time around.

"We're going [to Mansfield] to win," said Gordon, who has led 535 laps at MMP in eight starts. "Anything less will be a let down for our team."

The Greased Lightning 250 will be the third race of Sears Auto Center Northern Division season and the 10th Hooters Pro Cup event at MMP.

The green flag will wave promptly at 7 p.m. Front gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out early for Awesome Awnings Pole Qualifying at 4:30 p.m. Following time trials, fans can mingle along the frontstretch of MMP during the Wraps INK Autograph Session at 5:45 p.m.
