Burns team grows stronger with solid run.
Jimmy Burns and his Jackaroo Barbecue Sauce sponsored team enjoyed a solid 11th place run at the Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, Virginia this past Saturday night in the FOOD CITY 250.
After a wild qualifying run placing him 19th on the starting grid, Jimmy started working his way to the front when the green flag fell. "We were the third car to qualify and the track was still a little green after one of the numerous rain showers we had during the day passed through just prior to qualifying," Jimmy replied.
Jimmy complimented his crew on how well the car drove and was thankful for some helpful set up advice. "The car handled great all day. Mario Gosselin helped us out with the setup and the car really responded well," said Jimmy. The team ran strong throughout the race and was very happy with their night. "This was the second race we have run with this car and we are still learning what it likes, but we feel confident that we are getting stronger with every race," said Chuck Walter, crew chief of the JBM team this weekend as Michael Burns was racing himself this weekend.
It will be a short week for the Jackaroo team and the rest of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Northern Division competitors as their next event will be this Saturday May 3rd at the newly rebuilt Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio.
The JBM team was thankful to have Toxabsorb "The concentrated spill magnet" when it came down to pit stops. The team inherited an oil soaked pit stall after a competitor-spilled oil in the stall after his qualifying run. The JBM team demonstrated the power and efficiency of Toxabsorb as they cleaned their pit stall and the team was left with a clean and slip resistant surface that aided in great pit work by the whole Jackaroo team.
