17-Year Old Rookie of the Year Contender Ready to Face Challenge of Unseen Track in Second Career USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series Northern Division Event

Athens, GA - Every day, every event presents challenges to rookies in any racing series, but 17-year old Cameron Dodson is ready to take on the new experiences. This weekend, Dodson and his May's Motorsports team will tackle their second United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooters Pro Cup Series Northern Division event at Lonesome Pine Raceway, in Coeburn, VA for the Food City 250 Presented by Longhorn.

"I am ready to get back behind the wheel," said Dodson. "This weekend's race will be another first for me. I haven't seen Lonesome Pine Raceway. I am excited to get to the track and work with my team to learn as much as I can and have a solid performance this weekend.

"Kirk (May, team owner and crew chief) and the entire crew have worked hard in preparing an excellent race car for us. While we don't have a tremendous amount of practice time to learn the track before going out to qualify, I have so much confidence in Kirk and this team, it really allows me to totally focus on everything I need to do as the driver."

Dodson's career first USAR start at South Boston Speedway netted him a solid 15th place finish from his 32nd starting position.

In 2004, at just 16 years of age, Dodson captured the ROTY crown as well as the series championship in the Mid American Sprint Series. In 2005, the 17-year old repeated the feat in Auto Value/Bumper-to-Bumper Super Sprint Series (AVSS), capturing both the ROTY title and the championship.

May's Motorsports fields the No. 14N Elite Collision Center DuPont Performance Coatings Joie of Seating Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Dodson. Team owner and crew chief Kirk May, an Athens, GA native with business interests in the area, started May's Motorsports in late 2003 to begin full-time competition in Hooters Pro Cup at the 2004 season-opening event.

Lonesome Pine Raceway is located just outside Coeburn, VA. The Food City 250 presented by Longhorn is scheduled to Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. Information and directions to the track can be found at www.lpraceway.com. Television coverage will be provided by Speed Channel (tape-delayed for broadcast, visit www.usarprocup.com for schedule).
