Pennington to Wheel Second JFco ProCup Entry

Free Pennington, a dirt Late Model veteran and former Go-Kart champion from Augusta, Ga., will get behind the wheel of a second JFco Motorsports entry when the USAR Hooters ProCup series competes June 5 at Lakeland, Fla.

The 32-year-old second-generation racer will compete with America's Choice Mortgage as primary sponsor and PGA golfer John Daly as an associate for the two-race deal in the No. 10 Ford, which also includes the upcoming ProCup race in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

"I'm excited about this opportunity," said Pennington, who made a handful of ProCup starts a couple years ago, "and have to thank America's Choice Mortgage and John Daly for getting behind me. I also especially have to thank Jay Fogleman for coming with us; it's made this deal pretty sweet."

Fogleman, President of JFco Motorsports and driver of the Lucas Oil Products Ford No. 4 in ProCup's South Division, said, "It has good potential to become a second JFco Motorsports entry on a full-time basis."

Steve Bird, the former Busch Series championship-winning crew chief who now works as Performance/Operations Manager for JFco Motorsports, will assume the role of crew chief on the JFco Motorsports, America's Choice Mortgage, John Daly Ford No. 10.

Pennington said, "He's excited and we're excited; we think we can pull something off. All I can say is that I'm blessed in this deal."
