USA to Offer Championship Finale Festivities
Myrtle Beach, SC--Saturday will bring tough decisions for many Florida residents. Should they watch the Florida-Florida State Game or go to the Hooters ProCup Championship Finale Hooters 300 at USA International Speedway?
Well, it's not a tough decision anymore. They can do both--and much more--at the Hooters ProCup season finale.
The Championship Finale alone is enough bring race fans out the house by itself, however, the plethora of finale festivities scheduled for fans before--and after--the race will undoubtedly bring a slew of added tailgaters.
Starting at 3:00 p.m., the Joe Nemecheck Fan Club tailgate party will kick off the pre-race celebrations. Nemecheck will be on hand, but that's just the beginning of the day's duties for the former USA Int'l champion. Nemecheck will also serve as Grand Marshall for the event.
Shortly after kickoff of the Nemecheck Fan Club tailgate party, tailgaters will be able to watch the kickoff at USA International Speedway. USA International management will roll out a 22' by 8' giant-screen TV for fans to watch the Florida-Florida State football game at the speedway.
After bragging rights have been settled for in Florida, fans can head inside USA Int'l Speedway to see what Hooters ProCup Series pit crew will be gloating during the 2004 season as the Goodyear Pit Crew Challenge starts at 5:30 p.m.
Eleven of the top Hooters ProCup teams will compete against each other in a four-tire pit stop to determine who will take home the lion's share of the $10,000 in cash and prizes.
Once the Goodyear Pit Crew Challenge is completed, the United States Army will have a special swearing in ceremony for 20 recruits prior to the start of the Hooters 300.
At the conclusion of the induction ceremony, the US Army will continue to participate in the pre-race festivities.
US Army skydivers will descend on the track carrying the American flag at the end of the national anthem.
After the race winner, 2003 Hooters ProCup Championship and the Miller Lite Rookie of the Year winner have been decided, fans will be treated to a post-race fireworks show to cap off the day--and the 2003 Hooters ProCup Season.
