Justin Boston to Make USARacing Pro Cup Series Debut at Myrtle Beach

Concord, NC (June 12, 2009) - USARacing Pro Cup Series will see some new, young faces next weekend at Myrtle Beach Speedway for the Grand Strand 250 presented by BTS. In addition to 16-year-old Kyle Fowler making his Pro Cup debut, 19-year-old Justin Boston will also be making his first appearance in the series on Saturday, June 20.

Boston began racing motocross at age four and continued with motorcycles until age 13, in which he took three years off from racing. He began racing Legends cars in 2006 in the Winter Heat Series at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. In addition to Legends cars, he ran 14 of the 16 races in the UARA Stars Series in 2008. Boston finished the season with three top 15's and one top ten. For 2009, Boston plans to run four ARCA races and compete in the remaining USARacing Pro Cup series events.

"Pro Cup is a good stepping stone. I've never pitted before so it will be beneficial for me to learn pit strategies. There is also a good level of competition, so I think I will be getting a lot of experience from the series," explained Boston.

Like Fowler, Boston has also chosen Myrtle Beach Speedway for his debut appearance driving for Turner Motorsports with the No. 31s. Kevin Cywinski, Boston's crew chief is a former NASCAR driver who competed in the Truck Series full-time in 1998 and 1999 in addition to several Busch Series races. With the help of a talented crew chief and team, Boston will be more than ready to transition to the Pro Cup series.

"I'm excited to have my first start [in USAR]; I want to get out there, run some good laps, and if we have the opportunity to get out in front that will be great. I'm a little apprehensive, so I am going into it with a level head. I'm trying not to have too many high hopes and not force anything."

Boston felt that Myrtle Beach Speedway would be an ideal track to start his Pro Cup career due to the relatively flat racing conditions.

"It's been a matter of timing, and also I think Myrtle Beach is just a good racetrack to start at. It's a driver's racetrack."

When discussing racing against Pro Cup veterans like Bobby Gill and Clay Rogers, Boston shows no signs of intimidation or hesitation.

"I typically don't focus on names. You need to worry about yourself and keep a level head. I just want to do my best and not worry about all that other stuff, so finishing in the top 15 is my goal for this race, hopefully a top ten. At some point I want to get a top five and a win this year, maybe get the first win for Turner Motorsports."

Justin Boston and the USAR Pro Cup Series will return to the track Saturday, June 20 at Myrtle Beach Speedway for the Grand Strand 250 presented by BTS with engines set to fire at 7:30.
