Team Centennial pumped up over new Dodge.

John Gaunt is ready for Dodge Different. The sophomore driver is excited about campaigning a new Leavitt Chassis 2003 Dodge Intrepid out of the Team Centennial shops in Barrie, Ontario in the upcoming Hooter Pro Cup Northern Division.

"In 2002, we had to learn this style car, and all the tracks were new to us", says Gaunt a former competitor on the CASCAR circuit, Canada's own version of NASCAR. "During the off season our team has prepared a great new car and with having a year's experience under our belts, we're ready to run closer to the front." Centennial Chrysler-Dodge in Barre sponsors Gaunt where he is also employed as the body shop manager.

The Dodge power plants are provided to Team Centennial from AP Racing Engines. Team owner Gord Coates is enthusiastic about the team's chances for this season as they acquired crew chief John Fletcher late last season.

"With Fletch, we ran better immediately. He brings a lot of knowledge and blends with Pooke, Pete, Jeff, Darren, and the guys very well." The number 25 Intrepid also adorns associate sponsors Sikkens Paint, Pepsi, Havoline, and Blue Jay Catering. Team Centennial debuts the flash red, white, and blue racer at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday, April 12, in the Hooters ProCup 250. Television action from Jennerstown can seen via the Speed channel on Thursday, April 17th at 7P.M.EST
