Jennerstown, PA August 3, 2002. USAR Hooters Pro Cup driver Eric Corbett brought home yet another top five finish as he made a last minute charge to the front of the pack this past Saturday evening at the Jennerstown (PA) Speedway during the running of the Jackaroo Sauces 250 presented by Coca Cola.

On his way to collecting the Miller Lite Rookie of the Race award for his fourth place finish, Corbett piloted his Larry & Sons Inc./Carrier/F&M Bank Ford Taurus to his fifth top five in just six starts.

The day began well for the Hagerstown, MD, driver as he put the red #75 on the outside of the front row during qualifying. At the drop of the green he dropped back a few spots as the car was a little loose. As the race progressed and track conditions changed, the Corbett team made adjustments.

During a late race caution Corbett, unlike most of the lead-lap drivers, ducked into the pits for service. His instructions to the crew,"Change right tires only, we are going to the front." The #75 crew changed right side tires and although there were fewer than 10 laps remaining, the hard charging Corbett wasted little time in moving past, Jeff Agnew, Brian Ross, and Jay Fogleman, among others, to claim the fourth spot and rookie of the race honors.

The Jennerstown race will air on Speed Channel this Thursday, August 8th at 9 PM.

Corbett's next event will be this Saturday, August 10th at the Grand Opening Celebration of F&M Bank's Charles Town, WV branch. The branch is located on Rt. 340 Somerset Village, Charles Town, WV.

Corbett's next race will take place on September 6, 2002 at the Motordrome Speedway in Smithton, PA.
