Gill Named Second Team All-American

Myrtle Beach, S.C.-Bobby Gill's climb back to the top of the Hooters Pro Cup Series didn't go unnoticed in the national media. Today, the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association named the 4-time Pro Cup champion Second Team All-American (AARWBA) in the Touring Series category.

Gill, driver of the No. 06s USG Sheetrock Ford, finished the season with three wins, seven top-five and nine top-10 finishes in 14 starts en route to his series-high fourth title-and his first since 2001.

Gill became the second Hooters Pro Cup driver to be named Second Team All-American. Clay Rogers was named to the team last year. Benny Gordon and Shane Huffman both have received Honorable Mention on the All-American Team in past years.

Craftsman Truck Series champion Hornaday and nine-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel were named First Team by the AARWBA. Gill was joined by former Pro Cup driver Joey Logano on the Second Team.
