Gordon Announces New Team Sponsors For 2009 USARacing Pro Cup Series

Benny Gordon was successful in achieving his 2008 goals, regaining that winning momentum. Posting single season results unmatched by any other USARacing Pro Cup Series driver, Benny and the North South Motorsports team returned to the Champion's podium last year. However, that was last year and new challenges are on the horizon for this year. Finding new sponsors has been the primary focus for the 2009 season. The long cold winter in north central Pennsylvania is not over yet but Benny has not let that slow down his preparations. While Benny has been working the phones and visiting potential sponsors, crew chief Dan Glauz and crew are hard at work preparing the cars for the upcoming season.

"Frank Nickens, our Marketing Manager, has worked extremely hard this winter searching for new sponsors and he has done a great job," said Benny. "We are proud to announce new associate sponsors for the 2009 Pro Cup Series season, they are: Impact Racing Products, Lincoln Electric, Red Devil Brakes, Mechanix Wear , SK Rod Ends, Safety Kleen and Hawk Performance Brake Pads."

Benny will again campaign his number 66 Ford Fusion with primary sponsorship from Samuel Metal Company in the USARacing Pro Cup Series. "I am very glad to see the Series return for the 2009 season and I am extremely grateful to the continued support from the Samuel Company", said Benny. "I know that there was a lot of hard work and long days spent pulling the many details together for us to have a Pro Cup racing series this year. I look forward to getting back on the track."J In addition to the USARacing Pro Cup Series, Benny will be running a few selected NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2009. "Our plans are to run six or seven Nationwide Series events this year," said Benny. "As soon as we have a car number assigned and the rest of the schedule firmed up, we will make an announcement along with some additional sponsorship information. Stay tuned, this is going to be an exciting year!"
