Steve Francis O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series and NARA DirtCar Series Florence Speedway Review
(Ashland, KY) Driving the #15 Valvoline and Mopar sponsored Freeport Recycling and Action Auto Mart Rocket Chassis Dodge Intrepid R/T, Steve Francis rolled into victory lane on April 9th at Florence Speedway in Union, KY for the O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series sanctioned "Spring 50 Tune Up."
The Ashland, KY native led all 30 laps and picked up a win in the second heat race to land his career first O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series victory.
"We had a very good car at Florence, and it is always special for us to win in our home state. We have alot friends here and Valvoline is also based in Kentucky," commented Francis. "The car handled good all weekend, and it was also nice to have a good weekend without any controversy or mishaps," concluded Steve.
Francis also notched his 14th top-five finish of the season the following night (April 10) by finishing 3rd in the North American Racing Association (NARA) DirtCar Series "Spring 50" at Florence Speedway. Francis also produced a win in the sixth heat race. Steve's 3rd place finish at Florence Speedway can be seen a date to be announced on ESPN 2.
Steve will return to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series this weekend (April 16-17) for two events at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, TX.
