SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY RETURNS TO THE ASA MEMBER TRACK PROGRAM

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 1, 2006) -- One of the inaugural tracks with the ASA Member Track Program, Southern Oregon Speedway has decided to rejoin the program after a one-year absence.

"Looking back, I think we made a mistake in dropping the ASA membership last year as we seemed to lose some of the momentum we had going," reflected John Skinner, promoter of Southern Oregon Speedway. "Being part of the ASA program gave us considerable national exposure that we just could not seem to get on our own, and the ASA name gave us a lot of credibility with the racers and fans. We are glad to be back with Dennis (Huth) and the other ASA tracks in 2006."

"We are thrilled to welcome Southern Oregon Speedway back into the ASA family of racetracks," said Dennis Huth, president of Racing Speed Associates which owns and operates the ASA Racing Member Track program. "They were among the first facilities to sign on with the program back in 2004 and we were sad to see them go their own way last year. Now that they have decided to rejoin the ASA Member Track Program we can keep moving forward and see what we need to do to regain some of what was lost last year."

Located in White City, Ore., a mere 15 minutes from downtown Medford, this 10 year old state of the art 3/8-mile dirt track, features a regular slate of 360 Sprints, Dirt Modified, Pro Stocks, Mini Stocks, Dwarf Cars and Super 4-Cylinder action on Saturday evenings. The "Pear Blossom Special," a $1000-to-win Modified feature, is the Saturday, April 8 opening night highlight.

A variety of special events are also on the 2006 schedule, including the nationally televised World of Outlaws 410 Sprint Cars which visit the track on Wednesday, August 30 and the $10,000-to-win Lon Skinner Memorial "King of the Dirt" Modified program which runs from September 1-3. For ticket or schedule information, visit the track's web site www.sospeedway.com or telephone the office at (541) 282-8066.

Southern Oregon Speedway joins the ASA Member Track Program as a Level II partner, which entitles them to the enhanced participant insurance, marketing assistance, and is the spot to watch the stars of tomorrow learn the trade.
