Ryan Tedesco of New Philadelphia, Ohio will return to the ASA Late Model Series in 2005. Ryan had an amazing season in 2004 with the Late Model Series, he finished 6th on overall points for the season and only started 12 of the 13 races.
Ryan who is sponsored by Marathon Manufacturing and Supplies was a definite player for the top position of ASA Late Model Series Champ. Bad luck saw to it that Ryan would not see that title in 2004. The team missed the Madison International Speedway race on September 11th due to mechanical trouble.
Team owner Emery Brumit and crew still have much to be proud of. Ryan took the win in 3 races during the season as well as five top 5 and six top 10 positions.
Ryan took the checkered flag during the ASALMS 2004 season at Lake Erie Speedway May 29th, Mansfield Speedway June 5th, and Shady Bowl Speedway July 17th.
"Ryan and his team are extremely able and it was unfortunate to see him fall back in 2004 due to mechanical trouble" stated Varney the Series President. "I think we are going to see Ryan right back on top this year."
Ryan began racing Street Stocks in 1993, collecting 24 victories during five years of competition and notching championships in 1996 and 1998. He also captured the 1997 Rookie of the Year honors in the Late Model division at Midvale Speedway and was crowned the 2002 champion, scoring seven victories.
Ryan has also gained experience in the Ohio-based Main Event Racing Series. He finished third in the point standings in 2001 and rose to second in 2003. Ryan scored three wins in his stint with MERS, placing him 10th on the all-time victory charts. He has over 20 Late Model victories including multiple wins at the state-of-the-art Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. Ryan will compete in the full ASA Late Model Series schedule in 2005
