SUSSEX, Wisc. - Although country music isn't his style, Ricky Johnson is heading to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend in hopes of turning heads and getting some attention. Johnson will race at Nashville Speedway USA on Sunday afternoon in the ASA ACDelco Series' "BFGoodrich Tires 300." This weekend's event marks the second time Johnson has competed at the track that has hosted the ASA Series nineteen previous times.

Johnson finished fifth in last year's event while also competing for rookie-of-the-year honors in the series. Johnson won the rookie award, but now focuses on winning his first career ASA race in the Nationwide Auction Systems/WorldBestBuy.com Vortec-powered Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

"Last year, we had a consistent car and broke into the top-five due to attrition," Johnson said. "This year, we'll definitely be one of the top runners. Our plan is the same as always; shoot for a top-five, while always trying for a win."

"After testing with my teammate, Mark Dismore, and other cars, we feel we've made some strides on our long run set-up that will work to our advantage," Johnson continues. "The crew and I are still optimistic about getting our first win for Herzog Motorsports, Nationwide Auction Systems, WorldBestBuy.com and Chevrolet."

Johnson is currently fifth in the points standings and has captured one pole position, coming at Lanier National Speedway in Gainesville, Georgia. He has also racked up three top-ten finishes in the first four events.
