Rescheduled I-55 Raceway's Pepsi Nationals

Pevely, MO (September 24, 2002) I-55 Raceway's Pepsi Nationals are rescheduled for this Saturday, September 28th. Heavy rain on September 14th forced this event to be rescheduled.

UMP Late Models will be competing for the top prize of $10,000. The UMP Modified portion will award $1200 to the feature winner and the sportsman feature winner will take home $400.

All gates will once again open at 4PM and qualifying will begin at 6:30PM. Fans that were in attendance on September 14th need to bring their ticket stub or pit armband as a rain check for the September 28th makeup. Ticket prices will remain $25 for the grandstands with kids 12 and under FREE.

Many of the top drivers from the Midwest were on hand as the rain came on September 14th, including Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, Don O'Neal, Bob Pierce, Bill Frye, Wendell Wallace and Kevin Weaver as well as many great local drivers including Ed Dixon, Tim Ratajczyk and Mark Oller.

NASCAR star and I-55 Raceway Co-Promoter Kenny Schrader will also be in attendance with his UMP Late Model.

There were over 45 UMP Modifieds on hand for the modified portion of the show.
