Rain halts Potomac Speedway action August 24th.

Early evening showers caused the cancellation of racing action at Potomac Speedway on Saturday, August 24.

Labor Day weekend Potomac will be quiet on Saturday night but will host a special Sunday, September 1st, program with the running of the Ronnie McBee Memorial. A $2,000 to win, 44 lap Budweiser Super Late Model extravaganza. This will be the 7th and final race in the ITSI Series. Also on hand will be the Bell Motor Co. Limited Late Models, Coors Light Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders. Arby's Hobby Stocks and Cheasapeake Web Design Bombers. The Hobby Stocks will run a special 30 lap event, cancelled by former rainouts. Pit and grandstand gates will open on Sunday at 5:30 with the racing action starting at 7:00.

The Silver Hill Lions Club invade the speedway September 7th and 14th for their smash-em-up, exciting, Demolition Derbies. Action starts 7:00 each night. This will be a double point race for all classes to make up for the rained out double points of August 24th.
