Oct. 19, 1999

The series has hired Billy Paxton as their new Marketing/PR Director. Billy was instrumental in setting up the website, something drivers and fans have been asking for.

The series will launch their website this week. The URL is www.icemansupercars.com The site is currently under construction but when it's completed will contain a section for news items, results, driver profiles, the series rules, general statistics, pictures, sponsor and track links. To add links to our website please contact Billy at the Iceman office, 419-729-1634. Driver's can fax their profiles in to the Iceman office, 419-729-1499 or email them to Debi Domby at icechips@hotmail.com.

At press time there was only one rule change for the 2000 year. There will be a 50 pound weight break for 'concept' engines.

The Iceman banquet will be held Nov. 19 at HJ Prime Cuts, Toledo. Tickets are $30 before Nov. 5, $35 after this date. Please call the Iceman office, 419-729-1634 for further information.

The Rookie of the Year awards are being upgraded for the 2000 season. 1999 Rookie Champion, Dan Ford Jr. will receive the following awards at the series banquet: $1,000 cash, free $1,000 entry fee for the 2000 season, one tire in each Iceman race he run in 2000, a body from 5-Star, a body from ARP, wheels from Bassett and awards from Holley.

The 2000 payoff has been revised. The winner of the 24 car starting field will still receive $3,000 but the starting pay was raised to $400. Call the Iceman office for rules and the full payoff.
