Steve Distler of Slatington, PA took the 12 lap Factory Stock Feature. Distler started in second and when lap one went in the books he was the leader and there he stayed until the checkered flag flew. Distler held off the multiple feature winner, Jim Ciampi and Paul Monkoski, who ran bumper to bumper. Jim Buzinski, in his converted Enduro car finished 4th after several exciting spins in turn two during the race.

If Barry Gommer was a gambler he won two times tonight as he rolled his 7th late model win of the season. On the green flag lap the first four cars got together in Turn 1. This shuffled the field handing the lead over to Barry Callavini - Callavini held the lead for two laps when Gommer made a bold inside move going into turn two. From there he never looked back. On the Lap 9 restart - 2nd place runner, Callavini encountered mechanical problems handing over the job of catching Gommer to Flemington Late Model Feature winner Richie Coy. Richie Coy and Todd Cooper were racing for the 2nd spot when lapped traffic got in Cooper's way as he was making his move. >From there Gommer coasted to victory followed by Coy, and Dean Kline and Mike Radocha.

Rich Spaide, Jr. had to hold off, the man, Bruce Long, for his Street Stock Victory tonight. They raced side by side for the last lap - Back and forth they went - Spaide in the lead - Long in the lead - As they headed into turn four Long was on the outside and Spaide had the preferred inside line. Spaide won by a bumper over Long with Chris Burge and early leader of the race Donny Hartzell who were also racing side by side as they came to the stripe. Donny Hartzell had the tough break award tonight as he spun while leading, also collecting Bruce Long, who had to go to the pits for some sheet metal repair before making his charge to the front.

Blaine Barry of Bath, PA won his 4th Pro Stock feature race of the year after making a strong move under Albert Kerns who led the first 23 laps of the race. Albert Kerns and Joe Hoffman held the 1 and 2 spots until a caution on lap 21 bunched the field together and handed Barry a chance to make his winning move. With a strong run on the restart, Blaine Barry stayed low to get by Kerns and then was being shadowed by Joe Hoffman, Bradley Brown and Frank Hughes as he brought the car to the checkered flag.

If there wasn't a full moon out - it sure seemed like on was shining on the track tonight. Chris Clemens of Coopersburg, PA took his Heat winning number 2 to the green flag but Cal Snyder jumped to the early lead. Snyder was in control and even missed a lap 9 accident on the front strait-away that involved nine cars. John Markovic took the worst hit while running in the 12th spot - taking off the front of his car and having his radiator land 20 feet in front of him. Cal Snyder again took the green flag and held on for the next 19 laps, when fifth place competitor Andy Szapacs seemed to have something break or throttle stick because he came of turn four was heading straight and when it was time to make the wheels turn left to go into one - his car kept going straight, crashing head on into Styrofoam blocks. Andy was able to get out of the car on his own and walk away. While the cars were circling the track under caution for this accident, the leader, Cal Snyder, ducked into the pits with a flat. This handed the lead over to Eric Beers who had worked to the front from his 14th starting position. They went green single file and Eric held on to pull into victory lane with Tim Santee, Ike Iddings and Chris Clemens, who had his best finish of the year, right behind him as Beers had to slow for lapped traffic in front of him. In a post race inspection Beer's #94 Modified was found to be slightly over the maximum left side weight making Tim Santee of Palmerton, PA the winner. This was Tim Santee first career win in his PROLOG #6 Modified. How many people can get into a racecar for the first time ever and finish in the top ten? Matt Hirshman can. Son of many time NASCAR Modified Champion Tony Hirshman, Matt Hirshman, climbed into the John Markovic back up car - stayed out of trouble and brought the car in for a 8th place finish. The entire family was on hand helping with Matt's effort. Older brother Tony was on the radio spotting, while Brenda and Tony were being proud parents. The fans were treated to a huge Fireworks display at the end of the racing action. The on track action starts Saturday night at 6:00 P.M. for the Modifieds, Street Stocks, Late Models, Factory Stocks and Pro Stocks. The action also continues next Sunday as the Microsprints, Go-karts and slingshots invade Pocono Mountain for the Summer Heat Racing Series. The action begins at 2:00 P.M.
